Week 2 - Drinks Round - Leading Ladies

1. The very much older man this ‘darling bud’ first chose to entrap was Sean Connery. She was ‘intolerably cruel’ to George Clooney and her relationship with Tom Hanks proved ‘terminal.’

2. The most requested wartime ‘pinup.’ As a dancer she starred opposite Fred Astaire in ‘You'll Never Get Rich’ & ‘You Were Never Lovelier.’ She is probably best remembered for her sensual performance in the 1946 film ‘Gilda’ and more recently she helped Tim Robbins escape in ‘The Shawshank Redemption.’

3. ‘Oh, no! It wasn't the airplanes. It was Beauty killed the Beast.’
Who was ‘beauty’ in 1933 or in Peter Jackson’s 2005 remake?

4. Which cat licked the bat?

5. ‘Shut up, just shut up. You had me at "hello".’
In 1996 she stopped the Tom Cruise diatribe; later she was better known for her diaries.

6. Hugh Grant fell for her in a reality inspired movie, hopefully the character that Richard Gere fell for was less autobiographical.

7. She snatched romance in fleeting meetings with Trevor Howard.

8. There’s something about her – she’s an angel and an ogre.

9. Can this actress atone for her swashbuckling ways?

10. She was repeatedly wooed by Bill Murray but eventually married Hugh Grant at the fourth attempt.

11. Clark Gable didn’t give a damn about her.

12. Diamonds were her best friend in ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ and who were her two ‘lady’ friends in the film ‘Some Like It Hot’?

13. She was the cat in ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ and Velvet in ‘National Velvet.’

14. ‘Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you?’
Who had designs on Dustin Hoffman?

15. Who walked into Humphrey Bogart’s gin joint?

16. It’s a good job Eliza learned to not to drop her ‘aitches or Holly would never have got her breakfast.
